How to create a Color Palette with Acrylic Paint
Here we are going to explane how to create a beginning palette to start with. A beginning palette makes it easier to start painting and it gives you the starting point of your painting, the right shades and complimentary colors. If you like you can add more color to this afterwards.
To get started we are going to start with titanium white. This is the color that you use to lighten your chosen color paint, make pastel colors with and what we use to create high lights.
You can use different brands and you can mix them as there will be no problems with that. They are basic the same.
The next one will be black as we use black to darken colors and to give shade. The next one after that would be red and then yellow. A nice mixable yellow is yellow ocher. The next one after that would be a burnt amber and here I give you a choice of blues, but I like to use an ultra marine blue and Persian blue, another one is a purple or a violet and then next is a dark green and the last one would be orange.
With this color palette you can mix up a lot of colors thats needed to make a colorful painting.
